Stay Right There (a love poem)
by Laura Di Franco

Stay right there
sit still
let me unbuckle your belt
pop that snap
slide your zipper down
slow.

Close your eyes
don’t touch me
yet.
Breathe me in.
Feel my
vibration.

Let me slide my hands
inside,
touch you,
make you rise
to meet me.

Let me
pull your T
up over your chest
mouth on skin
as I go
collar bone
to belly button
missing nothing
in between.

Wait.
Keep your hands
to yourself
just a little while
longer.

Let me taste
the skin
on your hips,
feel the power
of your thighs,
make my own self
rise
unconfined,
throw my dress
to the side
and slide myself
over the top
of you,
douse you
in fire
until your eyes
widen
and desire
brings your hands
to my waist.

Pull me closer
let your soul
be the place
touching me
while your fingers
trace
the small of my back.

Let me hear
your moan
a soft
whisper
behind my ear
pulling goosebumps
up
and down
my neck.

Don’t hold back now.
Meet my pace
my rhythm
watch my face
for signs
I’m close
listen for the
sigh.

I’m there
don’t stop
keep yourself
here
til the end.
Send me off
with the delight
of your release
pull me in
hard

caress

breath

dripping

mess

sigh

lingering

pulse

fly off
into dreamy sleep
forget
rest.

Stay right there.
