Mindful Practice Makes Magic; Day 26, 27 & 28 of the Mastery Practice

For each day of the month follow these steps:
1. Read the entire exercise quietly.
2. Now read it out loud to yourself.
3. Read the suggested affirmation out loud to yourself. (Or make up your own!)
4. Practice the exercise for that day, as often as you can
5. Journal about it that night or the next morning (but soon after you practice is best)
Day 26 Exercise: Look
Today I want your eyes to bring you into the moment. Use your vision to notice. What do you see? What colors catch your eye. What are you looking at? Why? How does it make you feel? Notice your immediate environment. What do you like looking at? What do you turn your eyes away from? Write down a few notes in your journal about how this makes you feel.
Affirmation: Today I truly see my life, in all it’s glorious shape, color and brilliance.
Day 27 Exercise: Smell
Moving on to smell today. What do you notice? What smells do you love? What smells bring back a childhood memory? What smells triggers you? Bring yourself into the now today by using your nose. If you close your eyes, what do you smell? Write about the ones that turn you on or turn you off.
Affirmation: Today I can smell the stuff of my life and allow my nose to move me toward what smells good.
Day 28 Exercise: Hear
What noises do you hear? Which ones are pleasant? Which ones are not? Anchor yourself in sound today. Practice noticing what you hear, what you like to hear and what you do not like to hear. Play some music today. Notice how that makes you feel? Practice sitting in silence today and notice how that makes you feel. Write about the differences.
Affirmation: Today I can hear every sound, noticing what vibrates in me and how that feels.
