Mindful Practice Makes Magic; Day 10 of the Mastery Practice

It’s ALWAYS about now. Your love, your happiness, your joy, your relationships, your health, your business…your life.

Welcome to day 5/31! Read the introduction blog with all the details about this series HERE.

For each day of the month follow these steps:

1. Read the entire exercise quietly.
2. Now read it out loud to yourself.
3. Read the suggested affirmation out loud to yourself. (Or make up your own!)
4. Practice the exercise for that day, as often as you can

5. Journal about it that night or the next morning (but soon after you practice is best)

Day 10 Exercise: Don’t add meaning to your thoughts

For today, don’t add any extra meaning to your reality. When you have a thought, notice it, but don’t make that mean anything. When you have an opinion about something or someone, notice it, but don’t add any extra meaning about it. Notice how quickly we make something mean something else. Notice how often you do that and attempt to move into the present moment with a simple breath instead. For your journaling today — try this—set your timer for 5 minutes and fill in the blank: When I make things up in my head and make them mean something, this happens_______.

Affirmation: Today I notice when I add meaning to my reality and I let go and release those thoughts without attaching to any extra added meaning.
