Mindful Practice Makes Magic; 31 Days to Mastery

It’s ALWAYS about now. Your love, your happiness, your joy, your relationships, your health, your business…your life.

I’ve led this mindfulness practice for the last 31 days of July to help keep myself accountable to the magic. Awareness is the foundation of a fiercely alive, courageous life. I want that life. I choose this practice, and to make it a discipline.

Welcome to day 31! Read the introduction blog with all the details about this series HERE.

For each day of the month follow these steps:

1. Read the entire exercise quietly.
2. Now read it out loud to yourself.
3. Read the suggested affirmation out loud to yourself. (Or make up your own!)
4. Practice the exercise for that day, as often as you can
5. Journal about it that night or the next morning (but soon after you practice is best)

Day 31 Exercise: Write

I can’t finish this mindfulness practice without continuing to encourage you to use writing as a path to awareness, awakening, mindfulness and strategic planning of the life you crave. Through this whole month, you’ve been writing down how it feels to be alive in the moment. Go read over your notes and pick out what stands out to your own soul. Write about that thing a little more. Engage others in discussion about it. Write some more. Write a book! Write a poem. Share your words. Ultimately in the words that come from our soul is the healing the world needs. Write your heart and soul out!

Affirmation: Today I allow words to come from my heart to the pen and I write the stuff of my soul with abandon.

If you’ve practiced with me for the last 31 days, you’re training yourself into a new, healthy habit of awareness, something that will serve you for the rest of your life. Notice how more awareness allows you to respond to life, rather than react. Notice how creativity flows more easily and how you’re infused with more inspired ideas.

Mindfulness is a lifelong practice, so take the exercises and incorporate them into your life on a daily basis by using the ideas that fit the best into your moments. Take what resonates the most and build your practice from that. Continue journaling about your experiences and notice what you have to think and say about yourself.

It’s through this process of curious, mindful living that we move toward and align with our purpose and calling. It’s how we develop a strong connection with and trust in our intuition. And that’s the magic of mindfulness; the ability to live in love and joy with the Universe working with us every step of the way. Mindful living is how we change ourselves and the world.
