Well, I got vaccinated…
…and I tell you, it feels like we should put this topic in the bucket with religion and politics in terms of not talking about it.
Anyone?
But you know me (and if you don’t, you should), I think that talking about the stuff that matters to us in a way that’s brave and encourages healing is how we do life a little better.
I had the J&J version. Drove about 45 minutes away to Hagerstown, Maryland for a MassVaxx site where the soldiers and nurses were waiting to help. No line. Walked right through their Disney-World-like marked-off pathways, straight up to the front like a FastPass.
My daughter came with me as I have a history of passing out with needles. They wouldn’t let her go in with me, so we texted while I had to wait the allotted 15 minutes after getting the shot. Some people had to wait 30 minutes. We still don’t know why there were two groups. A guy five chairs to my right passed out onto the floor. When I noticed that, I closed my eyes and practiced my breathwork, imagining my new super-powered, vaccinated body and dreamed about the first plane trip I’d take.
