12 Powerful Ways to Introduce Yourself in 30 Seconds at Your Next Networking Meeting

The world is online and loving the opportunities right now! I know I am. I’ve taken full advantage of all kinds of online networking groups during COVID, met all kinds of amazing people, and have grown my business as a result.

And, there’s a lot to learn in this big, badass world of effective business building and relationship making, isn’t there? Like introducing yourself in a a few seconds in a powerful enough way to pique people’s interest enough to want to know you better.

In the weekly meeting I run in Bethesda, Maryland, which is a chapter of Success Champions Networking, founded by Donnie Boivin, we started by crafting a 60-second introduction. As the meetings proceeded over the months we realized we needed to make those intros shorter, sweeter, and more powerful, so we could get to the badass business of getting to know each other in our roundtable discussions and breakout rooms.

What an incredible learning experience it’s been to get everything about what I do into a 30-second elevator pitch that’s powerful enough to wake up the members who’ve heard it a hundred times already, and still deliver information about who I am and what I do in an effective way.
